Welimada is a main town of Badulla district and It is at between Nuwaraeliya and Badulla. There are 33km to Badulla, 22km to Nuwaraeliya and 20km to Bandarawela. Welimada is higher 1050m above sea level and famous for potatoes cultivation. Several restaurants and Hotels are at Welimada for local and foreign visitors. Bomburu falls, Mana falls, Ravan falls, Hakgala Botanical garden, Ohiya, Ambewela, Horton plains, Ravana falls, Adisham Bungalow are very closed to Welimada place.
