
Bomburuella waterfall is one of the widest waterfalls of Sri Lanka is situated at Perawella village of Welimada, Uva Paranagama of Badulla district. This waterfall is direct to Uma Oya river of Badulla district. There are about 20km to waterfall from Welimada town.
Bomburuella waterfall is some what widest fall and there is not a single waterfall. There are several falls those are called Bomburu falls and some villagers are identified this main fall as Perawella waterfall.

Uva Paranagama is a one of the electorate of Badulla district and population is seconded only for Mahiyanganaya electorate of Badulla district. Main four entrances to access Uva paranagama. Those are from Welimada town, from way of Udupussallawa, from Nuwaraeliya via Hakgala and from Maspanna from Haliela. There are main three waterfalls of Sri Lanka at Uva Paranagama. Those are Bomburuella, Ravan Ella and Mana Ella.
This waterfalls at Perawella village. Perawella is end of the Uwa Paranagama and closed to Nuwaraeliya. Villagers of this village are depend on agriculture. Potatoes, Beans, pumpkin, leeks, carrot, cabbage, beet roots and chili are cultivated. Potatoes is main vegetable for cultivation. There are busses to Bomburuella from Welimada town. Main town which those villagers are accessed is Welimada.

Some visitors are come to not only Bomburuwaterfalls but also other some waterfalls near Uva paranagama. There is a place called sthree puraya which is a mountain has very long and ancient tunnels which are used for hide queens of King Walagamba and other kings. There are several ancient temples closed to this mountain.
Uva Paranagama maha vidyalaya also related to ancient. It's called Mc. Donald fort. In the time of holding the revaluation against the British government at 1818 AD, Government has built this fort. Now it's school.
